Dinner in Maui

We all flew to Maui for dinner the other night and had a fabulous time. You probably noticed the palm trees are missing in the pictures, you're correct, it's NOT Maui, the warm summer night felt like Maui, we had a Maui sunset, the dinner tasted like "Kimos" in Maui, but instead we drove to Birch Bay and had a lovely dinner at my good friend Janelle's beach house.
She is a wonderful hostess, her home/patio was inviting, and music had everyone dancing. Once again, I feel so blessed to live in such a beautiful place in the world and to enjoy it with friends.

Sit Back and Enjoy!

Sometimes our family gets so busy we forget to sit back and enjoy the beauty of summer in our own backyard. Sunday afternoon is a great time to relax. Our patio/yard is in full bloom and it's time to enjoy the moment. Movie night on the patio last night was great too, the temperature was perfect.

Summer Adventures

A few weeks ago we went ocean kayaking along Chuckanut in Bellingham. I had a great day with Jeff, Wyatt, and Alex. I was amazed by the beautiful beaches and scenery, and it included a yummy lunch and a good workout. The 2 foot swells were just like a roller coaster at Disneyland (splash mountain that is!).

Most everyone is touched by cancer in some way, it might be with family member, friend, or or acquaintance, they may be a survivor, in the fight, or in memory of that person. It just feels right to get out and do something about it and our town does it in a big way. This year Lynden Relay for Life raised $220,000! We joined our friend Karen's team and walked from 11pm-12M, it was a amazing to see the community come together for this event.

All about WYATT

We haven't been traveling lately because we have more important things to take care of, namely "WYATT"! It's been great to see him grow up this year, he's passed me in height, played his first season of Lacrosse, and graduated from 8th grade...moving on to LC High School this fall. Getting back to travel--We're taking off soon to our favorite golf vacation spot to relax. I'm sure Wyatt and his friend Alex will be gaming, long-boarding, and maybe join us for a round of golf.
